Schenectady Kiwanis Foundation

  • ABOUT

Schenectady Kiwanis Club established the Schenectady Kiwanis Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit, in October 1963 for the purpose of accepting gifts in honor of Kiwanis members, family members, and friends and bequests to honor Kiwanis members who have passed away.  All gifts to the Kiwanis Foundation are deductible to the extent that tax laws will allow.

Foundation grants are awarded, primarily, to graduating students to help attain vocational or academic excellence, assistance to handicapped youth through local institutions, and also to youth development organizations to support programs serving children in our community.  Grants are limited to income generated from the corpus of investments that have been donated or bequeathed to the Schenectady Kiwanis Foundation.  Therefore, awards will vary from year to year.
